The flooring is almost finished in my new craft room! After the floor comes the moulding and boxing in the window!! I'm excited to have my own space!!
This is a table runner I made in a 3 session class I took back in March..Today I pinned it together with the back and batting..

Catching Up

It has been a long time since my last update..It may be redundant to post here and on Facebook, but..so what! :)

My sister and I embarked on a Memory Lane roadtrip. Through Facebook we have reconnected with our Morrison cousins..our Mom's side..I hadn't seen them since 1974 and it was even longer for Debbie. So, our trip evolved. We went to the Charles Schultz Museum in Santa Rosa..Schultz is the Peanuts creator and our Dad was a huge fan! The museum was great..afterwards we headed south and went through San Francisco to Palo Alto where we had lived from 1963-1967..we found our houses there..From there we went to Bakersfield for our reunion with our Morrison cousins..from there to Los Angeles..we visited our Grandparents gravesites, their homes, our homes and got together with our Hagopian cousins! We shared lots of tears and lots of laughter as we traced our California lives. Our trip ended in Anaheim where Debbie headed back to Oregon...The second part of my trip was about to begin.

About 2 hours after Debbie left, Reg and our friends Gary and Doras Cronce arrived for our Disneyland adventure. We stayed at the Cronce's timeshare and spent the next 3 days at Disneyland and California adventure! We had so much fun.

We arrived home Saturday March 14th and woke up to snow the very next day!!! We had such a fun time..there tons of pictures and you can see them here

Weekend

Tillie and me listening to the tunes on my Ipod! She loves music!! Yea!! She can carry a tune, though still needs to get a bit more verbal to get the words with the music..and she loves the drums too...Notice her hair? She had her first (attempted) haircut on Friday the 20th..Joy, the stylist and good friend of Emily's got one cut in before Tillie went ballistic..I only heard this from Emily and Joy..sure wish I could have been there! But enough of the bangs got cut, so hopefully they will stay out of her face..(sounds like a grandma, eh?)
Here's a picture before the haircut..

The video is Tillie's animal sounds..longtime family joke..When Emily was Tillie's age, her sisters taught her the animal sounds wrong..on purpose!!! Anyway, the last of Tillie sounds is the best!!

The Weekend

This past weekend I got together with others from Clover Park High School's class of 1976. We didn't have a 30th reunion and are planning an informal gathering in August. It's being billed as the 33 1/3. This will hopefully springboard into a more formal 35th...

On Friday Reg officiated at the memorial service for our good friend, Hollister (Holly) Young. Holly passed away Dec. 12th. He asked that Reg officiate, but did not want a religious service. Reg shared just a little bit about the Lord as Holly would have wanted that.
The memorial was held at Kiana Lodge in Poulsbo. It is such a beautiful place.

This is looking up!

My first completed quilt

I have finally completed my first quilt! Whew..This was my present to my sister, Debbie. This is the same quilt we made for our Mom last Christmas. When Mom died, Debbie had me take the quilt, so I thought Debbie needed one too..The only difference is that this quilt is all flannel..it is sooo comfy!

Here's Debbie opening her gift!!
This is how I put the whole thing together, using the floor in my bathroom..and lots of painters tape!

I have 2 more completed quilt tops that need finishing and many more projects to work on!!!
